GatherX launched in 2018 when Pres House leadership recognized a need to serve young adults who chose to remain in the Madison area after graduation or relocated to Madison from other areas of the country. Our mission focus on serving current students meant that we had limited resources to meet this need, but we nevertheless wanted to do what we could. We created a Young Professionals group at Pres House, which — through support from surrounding religious communities and a generous grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. — grew into GatherX.

"Our mission is to empower and connect our members at a point in their lives when change is inevitable -- when they're asked to join the brand new world of adulthood and expected to seamlessly navigate the surprising challenges that accompany it. We offer a point of stability, a safe space, a place where a sense of community thrives and strangers become lifelong friends."

Today, GatherX is an initiative of Christ Presbyterian Church. We encourage any young adult looking for community to connect with GatherX!

Young adults are also welcome to join us on Sundays for worship at Pres House.
