You are invited to take your living experience to a new level by participating in one of our year-long intentional micro-community programs at the Pres House Apartments:
Student Led Micro-Community Program (NEW!)
The Student Led Micro-Community Grant Program is a new and exciting program that provides support for students to develop and experience intentional and purposeful living in micro-communities organized around a meaningful focus.
Pres House is interested in supporting groups of students (4-12 people) interested in living, learning and serving in some of the following ways. This list is not exhaustive and other ideas are encouraged. Creativity is welcome!
- A group committed to living out Christian spiritual disciplines daily/weekly, offering spiritual discipline opportunities for others, and reflecting on the experience
- A group where each member volunteers at a non-profit for 5-10 hours per week and then shares the experience together over a weekly meal and with the larger campus through a video or forum.
- A group focused on learning and doing something about a pressing issue such as human trafficking, climate change, interfaith dialogue, or homelessness in Madison.
- Your own idea of a living/learning/service community that develops deep and meaningful relationships within the group and meets a need on campus, in the wider community, or in the world.
Pres House will provide 20% rent credit scholarships for each member of the micro-community as well as funds for programs designed by the group.
